Terms and conditions
Weddings, events, functions and retreats:
Please read all of these terms and conditions. If there are any points you are not happy with, please call us to discuss this. These terms and conditions apply to all weddings, events, functions and other related bookings held on the premises.
Privacy statement
Personal details included on your booking forms will be stored for a year before being destroyed, unless specifically requested to be done sooner. Payment by card details will be stored via our secure online server. No personal details will ever be shared with a third party without your express permission.
- Confirmation of bookings
- Bookings will be regarded as provisional until the signed booking form and deposit is received.
- We reserve the right to release the booking if the deposit is not received.
- Bookings not confirmed within 14 days of initial reservation may be released, we will try to contact you before doing so.
- Final numbers
- The client should give details of final numbers attending no later than 14 days prior to the Function.
- The client must not exceed the final numbers stated.
- Country Ways will not be liable for any decrease in numbers after final payment is received.
- Payment
- A final invoice will be sent 60 days prior to the function date and final payment will be received no later than 30 days prior to the event.
- Cancellation by the client
- Cancellations must be notified to Country Ways in writing.
- Upon receipt of cancellation the following fees apply:
- More than 1 year prior to the function date – Your deposit and any additional payments will be returned minus a handling fee of £100.
- 12 months to 6 months prior to the function date – 50% of the deposit will be retained, all other balances paid will be returned.
- Within 6 months of the function date – 100% of the deposit will be retained, but any other balance paid will be returned.
- Cancellation by Country Ways
- Country Ways may cancel bookings under the following circumstances:
- If the premises or any part of it is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
- If the client becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation or receivership.
- To avoid breach of these conditions.
- If it might prejudice the reputation of, or cause damage to Country Ways.
- In such an event, Country Ways will refund any advance payments made but will have no further liability to the client.
- Country Ways may cancel bookings under the following circumstances:
- Clients’ use of the premises
- The client and persons attending the function shall:
- Comply with all licensing, health and safety and other regulations relating to the premises.
- Not bring any dangerous or hazardous items onto the premises and must remove such items promptly when requested by management or other such authorised person.
- Not act in any improper or disorderly manner, leave promptly at the appropriate time and comply with any reasonable request by Country Ways staff.
- Any person or item in breach of these conditions may be refused entry or be removed from the premises.
- The client is prohibited from using fireworks and Chinese lanterns on the premises, however they may use sparklers.
- If the client wishes to have confetti, they may only use one which is biodegradable, such as dried petals.
- The client and persons attending the function shall:
- Liability
- Country Ways will be liable to the client and/or persons attending the function for injury or loss or damage to property only where and when Country Ways has been found to be negligent but otherwise will be under no liability to them whatsoever.
- The client will be liable for any loss or damage to the property including walls, light fittings and equipment (including items hired for their use) or injury to any person including staff and shall indemnify Country Ways against any liability arising from the function (other than Country Ways’ liability in i)above).
- General
- Country Ways will take all reasonable steps to fulfil the reservation to the best of our ability. However, we reserve the right to provide alternative services of at least an equivalent standard at no additional cost.
- The client shall not be entitled to assign the booking to any third party nor utilise Country Ways’ facilities, other than for the purposes agreed.
- Country Ways reserves the right to pass onto the client any additional charges incurred by them in respect of any goods and services requested during the course of the function.
- Whilst Country Ways has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that the information contained in our brochures, leaflets and advertisements is accurate, we reserve the right to alter, substitute or withdraw any service or facility or amenity without notice if necessary.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in these terms, Country Ways will not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations to the client in whole or part as a result of any or the following circumstances:
- Strikes and other industrial action(s).
- Fire and/or floods at or near the premises.
- Civil unrest, dispute or commotion.
- Act of God.
- Legal action against Country Ways, not resulting from negligence, preventing the supply of services.
- Written confirmation of the reservation (including signature of booking forms) shall be deemed to be an acceptance of these conditions.
- This agreement shall be subject to the law of the Country in which the premises is situated.
- These terms and conditions and booking forms supersede all previous versions.

- Confirmation of bookings
- Bookings will be regarded as provisional until the online booking form and deposit is received.
- We reserve the right to release the booking if the deposit is not received.Bookings not confirmed within 7 days of initial reservation may be released, we will try to contact you before doing so.
- Payment
- Full payment must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival. Bookings made less than 1 month prior to the arrival date or through a special offer require full payment at the time of booking.
- Cancellation by the client
- Cancellations must be notified to Country Ways immediately.
- Upon receipt of cancellation the following fees apply:
- More than 2 months prior to the arrival date – 10% of full booking cost (as a handling fee) will be retained, any further payment will be returned.
- Within 2 months of arrival date – All balances paid will be forfeited and retained.

- Country Ways may cancel bookings under the following circumstances:
- If the premises or any part of it is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
- If the client becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation or receivership.
- To avoid breach of these conditions.
- If it might prejudice the reputation of, or cause damage to Country Ways.
- In such an event, Country Ways will refund any advance payments made but will have no further liability to the client.
- Country Ways may cancel bookings under the following circumstances:
- Clients’ use of the premises
- The client and persons staying at Country Ways shall:

- Friendly dogs are welcome but are not allowed into the farm, to be left alone in the cottages or be allowed to foul in the gardens/children’s’ play area. Doggy bags must be used to clean up after your dog and blankets must be used on furniture they sit on inside the cottages.
- The client and persons staying at Country Ways shall:
- Liability
- Country Ways will be liable to the client and/or persons staying at Country Ways or injury or loss or damage to property only where and when Country Ways has been found to be negligent but otherwise will be under no liability to them whatsoever.
- The client will be liable for any loss or damage to the property including walls, light fittings and equipment or injury to any person including staff and shall indemnify Country Ways against any liability that arises (other than Country Ways’ liability in i)above).
- General

- Whilst Country Ways has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that the information contained in our brochures, leaflets and advertisements is accurate, we reserve the right to alter, substitute or withdraw any service or facility or amenity without notice if necessary.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in these terms, Country Ways will not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations to the client in whole or part as a result of any or the following circumstances:

- Completion of online booking form and deposit payment shall be deemed to be acceptance of these conditions.
- This agreement shall be subject to the law of the Country in which the premises is situated.
- These terms and conditions and booking forms supersede all previous versions.
